The group was formed in 1981 by Mrs Tina Curtis who gathered friends and colleagues to take sick and disabled patients from the Heath Hospital (now known as the University Hospital of Wales, UHW) in Cardiff to Lourdes. It took nearly two years to raise the funds needed with the first trip to Lourdes in 1983. Since then, HHLG has been able to take guests and pilgrims to Lourdes over 25 times. Over the years the group has gone from strength to strength and has taken approximately 400 guests on a variety of trips and outings and a total of 1000 people have been involved with the group since its beginnings....
